Your gut wall houses 70 percent of the cells that make up your immune system. So, a great way to have a strong defense is to eat well.
Garlic - fresh cloves or capsule Greens - leafy greens, microgreens (especially broccoli) and herbs, etc. Mushrooms - Reishi, Shitake or Lions mane are particularly good for immune boosting Ginger Tumeric Black and green tea Citrus Yogurt Bell Peppers Almonds - Vit E as an antioxidant which supports immune system Poultry Sunflower seeds - contains selenium which helps the immune system Manuka Honey - powerhouse! Fermented foods - pickles, sauerkraut, kimchi, kombucha, etc. Foods high in fiber - helps fight possible inflammation in lungs due to respiratory illness: apples, pears, bananas, berries, legumes, nuts, seeds, broccoli, brussels, etc. Avocado - Vit E Teas: Chamomile, Echinacea, Green tea, Peppermint, Hibiscus Vitamins and behavioral changes: Good/Whole food daily vitamin - each member of the family Zinc - 15-30mg Increase Vit A, B6, C and D - All of these are also found in the various foods listed above.
